There’s one snack in my cupboard I dread to recommend to recommend to my clients, rice cakes!
It’s not because they’re bad for you. Quite’s the opposite. They’re low in fat, low in sugars, low in calories and you can eat a few before they start to add up.
No, it’s because they sound boring as hell! and you know what if you have them plain they are.
Rice cakes don’t just come in plain though. There’s lots of choices:
– Salt & Vinegar
– Spicey Chilli
– Blueberry & Vanilla.
Now calories vary between brands but if you opt for the Kallo options you can all the above between 36 and 40 calories per cake and very low sugars. That’s good!
If you struggle with cravings when trying to lose weight these are good to have in. They’re a good alternative to crisps / biscuits and you can wrap them up in foil if you want to take them to work.
Next time you have a shop have a nosey and see if you can see something a little more exciting.
